The peach blossom was recognised as the state’s floral emblem by an act of the Delaware legislature on March 9, 1895, based on Delaware’s status as “The Peach State.” In 1953, the Peach Blossom was declared the official state flower. And since then Peach Blossoms were spotted across Delaware’s beautiful seashore in 1875. Peach Blossoms are available as single or paired flowers in Delaware. The state flower of Delaware ranges in colour from light pink to light purple. Of course, the flower comes first, followed by the Peach Leaves. • Peaches can be seen in ancient Chinese literature and artwork dating back to 1000 BC. 
• The trees are supposed to have been introduced to Greece by Alexander the Great in the 300s BC.
